The importance of professional development for directors
At Eventus Education, we believe that strong leadership is the cornerstone of high-quality early childhood education. Preschool directors are not only administrators; they are visionaries, coaches, and role models who shape the culture and success of their schools. Because of this, investing in the professional growth of our directors is one of the most important commitments we can make.
This month, I’m thrilled to share that our annual Director 101 Training is taking place. For four days, every director across the Eventus network comes together to learn, connect, and strengthen their leadership toolkit. This gathering has become one of the highlights of our year—a time to pause, step away from the daily routines, and focus on building skills that will have a lasting impact on both staff and children.
During the training, our directors dive deep into topics such as instructional leadership, operational excellence, staff development, and family engagement. Equally important, they spend time in team-building sessions that remind us of the power of collaboration and shared purpose. When our directors return to their schools, they bring not only new strategies but also renewed energy and confidence to lead their teams.
Professional development is not a one-time event—it’s a lifelong journey. By creating opportunities like Director 101, we affirm our belief that continuous learning fuels innovation, strengthens resilience, and ensures that every child in our care experiences the best possible start in life.
I am proud of the dedication our directors show to their own growth and to the families they serve. Together, we are building something remarkable.
